Astrona ui

astrona ui

Open the UI home with active runs and history

Synopsis

Open Home to browse saved runs, submission history and completed labs/playgrounds, even when no lab or engine is running. Enter opens a running lab; name one to open its workspace directly. Press p for preferences. Start labs from the command line with astrona run --ui. Opening the workspace uses the saved local files without checking GitHub, updating the repository, or restarting the lab or its timer.

Downloads, setup, grading, teardown and errors stay inside the UI's terminal pane. Ctrl+] opens pane controls and scrollback. Enter opens the task on the left and an isolated lab terminal on the right. Ctrl-T names a new terminal and selects a VM for QEMU labs; mouse clicks or Ctrl-N/P switch tabs. Ctrl+Y toggles mouse text selection for copying. Typing locks focus to the terminal app. F2 releases it (Fn+F2 on Mac keyboards using hardware controls); clicking the task or a terminal tab also releases it. Ctrl+Alt+] remains supported when the terminal sends it. Ctrl+O focuses the task for scrolling. Drag the divider to resize it; ui-task-width in Preferences sets the default percentage. Ctrl+G opens lab details, cluster selection and submission results. Ctrl-B returns Home and pauses time spent; terminal tabs keep running until the UI closes. Ctrl-C interrupts a terminal command. p opens saved preferences: select a setting, Enter to edit and review, then y to save. Esc cancels. Boolean settings use yes/no, and blank input keeps the current value. Ctrl+G opens alert details. Saved options apply to future commands; cache policy is checked after the UI closes. g submits a graded lab through the Proctor and returns Home, keeping the lab running, even after a pass. Ctrl-D on Home opens a red force-delete confirmation. Select Yes and press Enter to discard the selected run without saving or submitting it. In lab details, q opens the exit menu: keep running, submit, or confirm normal teardown. Closing the terminal does not submit or destroy; existing time limits still apply.

Requires an interactive terminal outside CI. Opening the UI is opt-in, not a saved setting; Kind and QEMU labs are supported.

Options inherited from parent commands

--accept-terms Accept this CLI's usage terms and data-loss risk notice; required on each operational CI command (read: astrona terms)
-c, --config string Path or URL to the lab config directory (with --git: a subdirectory within the cloned repo) (default ".")
-f, --file string Configuration file name override (default "config.yaml")
--git string Git repository URL to clone/pull (https://, git@host:, or ssh://) — --config then selects a subdirectory within it
--git-ref string Git branch, tag, or commit to check out (used with --git; default: the repo's default branch)
--headless Disable the terminal UI and CLI prompts; run/reset skip login reminders and new account sessions
--install-version If the lab needs another astrona release (astronaVersion) that isn't installed, install it without asking — for CI
--trust Approve running a remote (--git / URL) lab without asking — for CI; review the lab first
--update-check Check for new CLI releases (disabled in CI, without a terminal, or by ASTRONA_NO_UPDATE_CHECK) (default true)
--verbose Stream the full output of every underlying command instead of the compact step view
